The Institute will be held at a spectacular site, the International College of Tourism & Hotel Management in Manly. The College is situated on Sydney’s North Head overlooking Manly Beach with sweeping views north over the Pacific Ocean to the Central Coast. Southwards the College has views over Sydney harbour which lays claim to being the most beautiful harbour in the world. The college is housed in beautiful sandstone buildings from the 19th century, and is within easy walking distance of Manly village, which has a wide range of restaurants, pubs and cafés and is the point of origin for many scenic walks.

Manly is a short ferry ride from the city (ferries leave from Circular Quay in the city - see Manly ferry timetable). The College minibus can arrange a pick-up from Manly Wharf in the mornings and a drop-off in the afternoons. If you prefer to walk, the College is a 15-20 min walk from the centre of Manly (locate an online map of Manly here). The College does not provide parking, however un-metered parking is available in Darley Road, the street outside the College.

If you are travelling from Sydney Airport to Manly, there is some detailed information about transport here. In summary:

By public transport: catch the train from the Airport Station to Circular Quay Station, and then take the ferry from Circular Quay Wharf (just underneath the station) to Manly. Most accommodation listed on this website is within short walking-distance of Manly Wharf.

By hotel shuttle bus: some hotels provide shuttle buses, but you need to contact the hotel and plan this in advance.

By taxi: approximate cost is $40.

By private bus: contact North Side Shuttle (email or phone number (02) 94014351) to book this service in advance. Costs $30 for 1 person, $40 for 2 people, and less for groups.
